Sandeep Bhammer is currently, the Chairman of Somerset Entertainment Ventures (Singapore) Pte Ltd and also sits on the Board of Directors and/or Board of Advisors of Fastlane Distriparks Private Limited (India's largest container freight station company), Tarragon Capital Advisors (India) Private Limited (a boutique investment bank focused on SMEs within the Indian subcontinent), and has also served on the Boards of Indiabulls Financial Company Private Limited, Cinema Capital (a SEBI registered media sector fund aimed at financing films and related media projects in Bollywood), Intellistay Hotels Private Limited (an executive hotel chain in India) and CitiXsys Technologies Private Limited (a software products and services company that provides SAP Business One solutions). Until recently, Sandiip spearheaded Balyasny Asset Management's (B.A.M.) investment efforts in South-Asia having been the Managing Director of the India office, and prior to that, he was a Portfolio Manager at Amaranth Advisors in Singapore, where he was responsible for investing and monitoring almost USD700 million of Amaranth's investment capital in India and Pakistan. Sandeep has also been a Senior Director of Asia-Pacific Equities at Citigroup Global Equities (also known as Citi SSB) in New York, and held senior positions on the Asian Equities desks at HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. and CLSA (USA) Inc., where he was among the top-rated specialists in the Asia-Pacific region globally for many years in various surveys conducted by publications such as Institutional Investor, Asia Money and Greenwich Associates. Currently, a CFA level III candidate, and a candidate for the Diploma in Securities Law at the University of Mumbai. Professional memberships include the New York Society of Security Analysts, the CFA Institute, Young Indians ("Yi") and the American Alumni Association of India.
